THE 2ND TRI-ANNUAL GENESIS DESIGN CONVOCATION

During the month of April 2026, the Global Council and staff gathered in Okahandja for our Tri-Annual Convocation. This special face-to-face time provided an opportunity for fellowship, reflection, and strategic planning as we looked back on God’s faithfulness and ahead to the future of the ministry. The theme of the gathering was from Zechariah 4:6: "Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit," says the Lord.

Throughout the Convocation and Annual General Meeting, ministry leaders presented annual reports highlighting the work taking place across the various areas of our ministry and countries. These reports served as an encouragement as we celebrated what God has accomplished and discussed opportunities and priorities for the year ahead.

A significant milestone during the Convocation was the formal approval of the appointment of our new Chief Operating Officer, Lenhert Plaatjies. During a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, he was dedicated to his new role in the presence of a small, intimate gathering of family, friends, and ministry partners. It was a meaningful occasion as we committed both Lenhert and the ministry to the Lord’s guidance and blessing.

The service also provided an opportunity to honour and express our heartfelt appreciation of the ministry to Jos and Sylvia Holtzhausen for their lifelong service and faithful commitment to serving the Lord Jesus for more than 50-years. Their years of dedication have left a lasting impact on countless lives, and we are deeply grateful for their example of faithfulness and commitment in service.

Another highlight of the Convocation was the celebration

of our 7^th Anniversary together with ministry partners. During this special event, testimonies were shared that reflected God’s faithfulness over the years. Individuals who have been involved with the ministry since its inception were recognised and presented with Appreciation Certificates as a token of gratitude for their support, commitment, and partnership.

As we move forward into the remainder of the year, we invite you to continue praying for the ministry programme and activities planned for the months ahead. Please pray for Lenhert Plaatjies as he settles into his new leadership role and responsibilities, asking God to grant him wisdom, strength, and favour as he serves the Lord, the ministry of Genesis Design and its partners.
