Greetings from a very cold Okahandja. Winter welcomed us back with open arms. It is so strange to wear winter clothes after wearing summer clothes all the time that we were abroad. Even in Germany, it wasn’t just the sign outside the house announcing summer. It really was!
Sylvia and I are back in Namibia after our ministry trip to the USA and Germany. We’ve seen the hand of the Lord upon our every move. 15 flights, 7 different beds, I still need to count all the meetings we had with groups and individuals and the off-the-programme “incidents” we never planned.
All-in-all the Lord graciously answered all our prayers and petitions, in contacting people we’ve never met before, yet invited us in to meet and share what Genesis Design is all about. We’ve seen again how the truth has set people free. Often, after a presentation, people would comment on how they were challenged and convicted deeply in their hearts and conscience, and that they should have given us more time. Almost every group or meeting invited us back to do a full training in 2025.
What was a wonderful blessing to us, is that some young married adults from Africa, married to American spouses introduced us to the churches they attend, and convinced their leadership to hear about Genesis Design as they told their leadership: “We are the products of Genesis Design training and teaching, while in Africa”. It was really remarkable.
We also experienced again the Lord’s total and complete provision to us through His people. Sylvia’s laptop was hit by a power surge at one of the places we stayed. Her laptop didn’t want to charge and when we finally realised something needed to be done about it, it was way too late. Great distress fell upon Sylvia as she realised all her years of work might be gone.
Due to the power surge the battery overheated affecting the hard drive and motherboard too, making it impossible to retrieve any data from her years of working on Genesis Design.
BUT, GOD!! We tried to get any and all the work she has done from others who received draft copies of lessons, what I had on my external hard drive, PowerPoint presentations and what she had backed up before leaving home. A major document she was working on, extracting information from 10 different documents into one was not yet backed up. That resulted in her working for hours, from scratch, burning the midnight oil and beyond, because there was a hard deadline for the document to be used in South Africa at a headmaster’s conference.
We asked several of our friends to pray with us, about what we should do - retrieve the data from the old hard drive, buy a new laptop, etc. We quickly forgot about retrieving the data from the old hard drive. Yes, a company said: “We can do it, but it will cost US$5500 and take a month”. The very next day we received a WhatsApp message, from a friend we visited on our trip, confirming the Lord told her to send a cheque to Genesis Design, before we asked, to cover the costs of a new laptop for Sylvia. That’s not all. Our children organised a 40% discount for a custom-made HP laptop from China through their company. Because they are employees, they could purchase a brand-new, full Office suit software package, for 10% of the going rate and a download pin for life, with updates when there are any available. Oh, He is so good to us!!
We are working on a full report of all the things that happened around the globe through the ministry of Genesis Design, while this was happening to us.

This trip has definitely confirmed to both of us, that we are not spring chickens anymore. But our desire to teach, train, and share the truth of Scripture when it comes to manhood, womanhood, sexuality and marriage, is far greater than all the other odds against us. The world is dying because of a lack of knowledge.
