Genesis Design is continually being taught across the various Ministry CarePoints in Kenya run by Christ’s Hope International, reaching more than 500 children weekly. It is also taught by various churches and used at youth camps and conferences from time to time.
I have been teaching a group of young people who recently completed high school. This has been ongoing since February, empowering them with Biblical-based life skills for life after school as they join college and work.
We began with a group of 10, but recently concluded with 7 students. We have been working through the Genesis Design In-Depth Discipleship lessons, designed for teens. These formed a guide for our devotions and then the Choose to Wait booklet was used as the go-to resource for equipping them to deal and cope with interpersonal relationships, helping them to handle their manhood | womanhood | sexuality | marriage, in a godly manner.
Once we completed this course we started with lessons from The Voice of Truth booklet. This further equipped them with skills as to how to handle the pressures they’ll face in the next phase of their development to reach adulthood as righteous, independent, single men and women.
